The hope and goal of this site is to serve as a repository of English language translations of a variety of prayers and practices from the Tibetan Buddhist traditions. A few philosophical or polemical works might sneak their way in here too, you never know. Many practitioners translate various works without the intent to profit off of them but simply to make them available to benefit others, and do not have any means of mass publication or distribution. While this site cannot solve that problem, hopefully it can help.

Right now this site is just being thrown together. Hopefully, in the future, we will have the time and energy to organize it make it more user friendly.

All of the translations offered here are available for you to download and share. We are happy for you to include them in any prayer books or collections you may produce for your local Dharma centers, but we have two conditions. The first is that they are never included in any collection for which you are charging or collection a profit. (If you print prayer books and ask for a donation to cover printing expenses that is okay). The second condition is that you leave the prayers intact, which means not only not editing them, but also means to include the translator’s colophons. If you do, for some reason, feel a need to edit them, seeing as how we cannot stop you, we ask that you still leave the translator’s colophons and then add a note indicating who edited them, and when. These are the words of the Buddha and the sacred teachers, and so it is important to be able to trace a translation backward. Thank you.
